The OODA loop—Observe, Orient, Decide and Act—is an iterative decision cycle for responding to change. It encourages teams to learn and adapt rather than rely on a fixed plan.

How to use this tool

  1. Observe the facts

  2. Orient to context

    Orient by interpreting context and options.

  3. Decide the next action

    Decide on the next action.

  4. Act and repeat

    Act, observe the result and repeat.
